Man oh MAN. Is it just us, or were last night's Academy Awards the best they've been in a long time? We're talking Ellen's ace hosting skills, an amazingly talented batch of winners, and don't even get us started on the red carpet glitz and glamour. The gowns and tuxes were wonderful in all their designer glory, but we couldn't help noticing the A+ accessories and details. Check out some of our favorite style finishing touches of the evening:
EMMA WATSON
Emma Watson was a sparkly masterpiece from head to toe last night. Her metallic Vera Wang dress was mostly responsible for her glittery presence, but her jewelry certainly helped out a LOT. Her diamond ear cuff was the perfect choice for her whole goth-at-the-Oscars vibe, as was the sizable aggregation of rings adoring her fingers. Emma totally could have stepped off the red carpet and into a street fight without having to change her outfit at all, which is pretty much the best kind of transitional fashion.
MICHAEL B. JORDAN
Michael B. Jordan's showed up on the red carpet and was all, "Step aside, ladies. My accessories are going to blow yours out of the water." I mean, those star-studded collar stays are everything. So are his shoes. Wearing metal plates over the laces of your dress Oxfords? YES. We are beyond thrilled this dude is rising in the Hollywood ranks, mainly because we won't have to wait too long to see more awesome fashion from him.
JENNIFER LAWRENCE
When you're a major A-lister like Jennifer Lawrence, having a boring old bare back is simply not acceptable. Luckily, her dazzling Neil Lane necklace was worn in reverse, ensuring the actress would look flawless from all angles. The trend gave us major flashbacks to her bling at last year's Academy Awards—I guess rocking backlaces is becoming J-Law's Oscars ~thing~ just as much as wearing couture Dior.
LUPITA NYONG'O
Unsurprising fact of the century: Lupita Nyong'o looked like a beautiful princess at the Oscars. We just KNEW she would. Her "Nairobi blue" dress was perfect, but her accessories refused to be upstaged. How beautiful are these diamond leaflet earrings? The correct answer is VERY beautiful. They were the perfect complement to Lupita's entire ensemble and shiny new Oscar statuette (yay!).
